St Georges Day Parade

Baden-Powell chose Saint George to be the patron Saint of Scouting. He felt that the Saint George legend set a good example of faith, courage and perseverance for future generations (read the story of St George). City of Leeds Pipe Band will be taking part in the 2017 St Georges Day parade in Horsforth with the Shire Oak District Scouts.

Scouts will be arriving from 2.30pm with everyone to be sat in church for 2.50pm
The Service in St Margaret’s Church that will start at 3pm
Service to end no later than 4pm
Lined up and ready to parade by 4.15pm
Parade to leave at 4.30pm, moving off along Church Lane towards Town street. It will turn right onto Town street and head down hill to Hall Lane where it will head along to Horsforth Hall park.
Arrive in park for dismissal 5pm
