This year\u2019s Armed Forces Day is set to be another spectacular event; with a host of events and activities on Victoria Gardens (outside the Art Gallery and Town Hall) and Cookridge Street.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the Lord Mayor of Leeds, it is part of a national day celebrating the courage and contribution of the United Kingdom\u2019s Armed Forces past and present.<\/p>\n
One of the highlights is the parade through the city centre, featuring service men and women, past and present, alongside cadets from across the city. There will be a variety of displays, military vehicles and military-related stalls; with family-friendly activities including a climbing wall, Breeze Boot Camp and fun, themed crafts.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s the chance to meet veterans of all ages, browse a selection of stalls and enjoy a range of performances on a specially constructed stage on Cookridge Street. A Drum Head Service will take place on Leeds City Art Gallery steps.<\/p>\n
