Remembrance Sunday for the City of Leeds Pipe Band saw the band leading the parade
of the Standards of the Thorner (near Leeds) branch of the Royal British Legion and
members of other organisations through Thorner to the local Parish Church for the
annual remembrance service.
After the service the Act of Remembrance was held at the War Memorial.
The band then lead the parade back through Thorner to the start point.
Meanwhile at the other side of Leeds a piper from the band joined the Horsforth branch
of the R.B.L. for their parade through Horsforth and played the lament at the War
Memorial where a large gathering of R.B.L. and local residents had assembled.
We were fortunate with the weather at both locations on this special and very important
day.
