Leeds Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day in the United Kingdom is now marked by hundreds of events held across the country, celebrating the courage and contribution of the British Armed Forces community: From veterans to currently serving troops, reserves, cadets and service families.

Hosted by our Lord Mayor, Leeds will be celebrating with a FREE event on Briggate in the city centre, from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 4 July 2020. The City of Leeds Pipe Band will be playing on Briggate from 2pm.

Lots of attractions, with something to interest all ages:

A huge range of FREE family-friendly activities, including a climbing wall, arts, crafts, and much more

An array of displays, military equipment, armed forces-related stalls and a full-sized replica Spitfire

Stalls with information about welfare, education and services for serving personnel, veterans and their families

The opportunity to speak with people from a range of military charities and veterans groups, and to hear their inspiring stories

A full programme of entertainment including a veterans parade across Leeds city centre
