Here’s to the Hero’s
Once again, the Band was proud to take part in the Remembrance Parade and Service in Thorner near Leeds to remember all those who have lost their lives in the service of our country and continue to do so. A Piper was also seconded to ripon in North Yorkshire on Remembrance Day. Read more →
Broughton Game show 2013.
The Broughton Game Show Committee have advised us that after 33years the Show has come to the end. Rising costs, insurance, health and safety issues and the vagaries of the weather being the contributory factors. The purpose of the event was to raise money for the 2 local Rescue Associations. Another good year for the Band
As this years summer season nears an end the Band is currently having a break during August before the Otley Vintage Transport Extravaganza takes place on the 9th September. Despite the poor weather this summer we were fortunate to have enjoyed good days for all but one parade. A further 3 were cancelled due to clashes with Jubilee Celebrations. Read more →

Ilkley Carnival 2012
Once again we Headed the annual May Day parade through the streets of Ilkley.The route was lined with spectators on both sides all the way to the finish point and we were fortunate to have a nice day and avoid any rain. New look for the City of Leeds Pipe Band.
The May Day parade at Ilkley on Monday 7th May 2012 will see the Band Members wearing the new tunics as the procession passes through this West Yorkshire Town along streets lined with spectators.
