Engaging the Band

The Leeds City Pipe Band performs at all types of events as a full band, small group or solo players. We pay particular attention to programme content and performance to suit the occasion. We have a wealth of experience and can be very flexible, even during the event. We can parade as well as perform in arenas, or stand on the steps as people arrive at the venue and everything in between. If you have an idea of what you would like for your event, please get in touch to discuss your needs.

The pipe band provides the place to learn and the tutors to bring you along. Once you are ready to play in the pipe band you will be supplied with a uniform which will be yours to look after. We ask that you purchase your own starter kit from the College of Piping and this will form the basis of your training and give you everything you need to start playing this great instrument.

The pipe band meets for practice on Thursday evenings at 8 pm in the Village Hall,  Main Street, Scholes Leeds. LS15 4DN.

A tuition class for beginners and improvers is held on Monday evenings at 8pm at Holton Community Centre LS6 3ND. There is ample parking, alternatively, take either the Number 56 or 19 buses to where Queenswood Drive meets Spen Lane.
